Tucker Road Animal Hospital is the primary vet for Hood River Adopt A Dog.

Hood River Adopt A Dog is a local non-profit charitable organization, which works closely with the Hood River County Animal Control and Sheriff’s Office to provide every dog housed at the shelter high quality care during his or her stay. Since 2007, Hood River Adopt A Dog has cared for thousands of canine shelter guests at an average of 275 per year.

Tucker Road Animal Hospital Artist in Residence program

Every month animal-themed artwork from a different elementary school classroom in the gorge is displayed on the wall of our waiting room. We provide the frames and hang up a new classroom’s art each month. In addition, the classroom whose artwork is displayed receives an in-person visit from Dr. Caldwell where she presents a fun slideshow about Tucker Road Animal Hospital and veterinary medicine.
